The location was amazing. That’s about all that was amazing. Super old hotel. Lobby is an illusion. It looks updated and pretty but once you out of the elevator it looks old and scary. It was cheap so the price was on point. No air conditioning in the room but thankfully the windows opened to allow cooler weather could come in.
My friend and I walked into the dirtiest room. There was black mold along the baseboard in the bathroom. Mold under the sink and in the shower. The rug was wet just as you enters the room and it was stained. after walking around the room with socks my feet were black. The sheets had a strong smell of pee. Disgusting to say the least! The people cross from had a party every night. It was very loud. I wish I had read the reviews previously as we would not have stayed there! Mold is a health risk situation and I will be reporting. Please don’t stay there!!!
They say, Location, location, location... well this hotel has that, steps from Broadway and Times square. It is an aging property, that while reasonably clean and comfortable, is in need of some basic maintenance (Cracking/peeling ceiling in bathroom, unrepaired holes, dripping/flowing faucet). Every request (to English speaking staff) was handled wrong... (Asked for a late clean, and got a refrigerator and microwave instead... :) ) No amenities on site.
Pros. The location is great.
Cons. The hotel staff is less than friendly. The hotel rooms need a remodel. The hallways smell like someone is smoking weed. The ice machines don't work. The AC doesn't work most of the time.
Pros. Rooms in terrible shape
Cons. The bathrooms were old and dingy
